I love music and especially music in games and Laura Shigihara is one of my favorite video game musicians. She has done work for Plants Vs. Zombies and To The Moon. Her work is truly amazing and emotional. She brings us a new original piece that is more personal than her other works. It is well worth the watch and below is more information on the piece courtesy of Kotaku.
From Kotaku -
The artist behind the ending theme song for Popcap’s Plants Vs. Zombies takes a break from silly songs about silly things to deliver something a bit more personal and profound. She passed the song on to me late last week, along with the following message:
“I know this will seem weird after the string of silly videos I send you… but I wanted to share something that was a bit more personal. It’s a music video that was inspired by a 6-hour Minecraft session that got me thinking a lot about escapism and overcoming things I was going through at the time. I started on this project almost a year ago, thinking I would finish it in a week… but I didn’t finish it until last night. I guess it’s a bit dark and sad, but it’s really supposed to be hopeful Anyways, I hope you enjoy it.”
