The Championships closed off the eighth MLG Pro Circuit, which offered its largest prize pool yet, handing out more than $1 million over the course of the season.
The largest prize pool of the weekend was the Halo: Reach tournament, which granted $100,000 to Roy, Lunchbox, Pistola and Ogre 2 of Team Instinct. Runner up is Team Warriors and third place Believe the Hype.
16 year old Korean Lee Dong Nyung, also known as FXOLeenock, took first place in the StarCraft II league which I think may be a shock to many. Sweden’s Naniwa took second and in third place DongRaeGu.
In the Call of Duty: Black Ops tourney, which was played out on PS3, Team Quantic Next Threat secured a win and $50,000 for its members Vengeance, Mutation, Virus and Censor. Rivals Team Eon Envy and Optic Gaming had to be content with second and third respectively.
$15,000 was up for grabs in the League of Legends event, with Team SoloMid members which include ReginaId, TheOddOne, TheRainMan, Xpecial, and Chaox won.
