The last Nintendo 3DS firmware update allowed developers to implement billing programs for paid DLC on the handheld. It’s a practice the company said it would allow but wasn’t particularly happy about because it felt players deserved the “complete experience.”
Nintendo itself is hopping on that paid DLC bandwagon which will start with the Fire Emblem title currently in development for the 3DS. Both your average credit and debit cards will work to buy items for the title in addition to prepaid cards. Along with the announcement that Fire Emblem will support paid DLC we’ve also learned the game is aiming for a March release date.
