Sony’s PSN Plus Christmas Gifts Has Free Games For NewcomersNews
PSN Plus users are being treated this Christmas as Sony is rewarding its subscribers with free PS3 and PSN games.
The offer begins today with a free download of Sonic 2, and will contain 12 free games throughout December. Each game they offer will be available for 48 hours, after which the gift will be taken down and swapped for the next one. While Sonic 2 is the only game confirmed, Sony has stated on the official PlayStation blog that over the course of the promotion there will be 8 PSN titles, two minis and two PSone Classics. Although, what these are have not been specified at this time.
Loyal subscribers from the early days of PSN Plus, however, will not find this festive treat appealing since all the content that is going to be available across the Christmas period will have already been a part of the PSN Plus previously. The promotion is more to entice new PSN Plus users into the fold and merely an addition to the expected PSN Plus content due for December, which Sony already confirmed will be dropping at some point this month.
How do you feel about this if you are a PSN Plus member, or even if you aren’t is this something you might take advantage of? Let us know how you feel about Sony doing this to bring in new members and not really offering something to their long time subscribers.
