Trine 2 Release dates and PreviewNews
Above you will see the trailer to Trine 2. In the trailer you can see that it looks like it is going to be a gorgeous game. This already has me excited to play it, and thus I was lucky enough to get a review copy of the game. I was able to play the beta I was given a little before the release which is on Wednesday December 7th for PC and Mac on Steam. With the release just being 2 days away I wanted to give you guys a little preview and get you excited over this game. Two weeks later it will release on (North American) PSN on Tuesday, December 20th and XBLA (worldwide) on Wednesday the 21st. The game will be $14.99 on all platforms and is available for pre-purchase on Steam right now. Unfortunately, the European PSN date is still TBA and is noted to be “hopefully around the same time” so keep your fingers crossed!
Now, on to my little preview on the beautiful Trine 2 game! The graphics had me captivated from the moment I started playing it. Even in the menu the graphics are gorgeous, and there were times where I would honestly forget what I was doing while I played the demo, just to have a look around and see all the work they put into the graphics, how things interact with you and how you can interact with the scenes as well. It really kept me looking for different ways to mess with items, and the environment.
I don’t want to give too much of the game mechanics away, but I will say that the characters move very smoothly. I always found it easy to get from point A to point B without really any issues when it came to how they were controlled and moved. I feel everything is explained thoroughly as you are moving through the game but at the same time they did not get in the way of you teaching yourself if that is how you prefer to learn how to play a game. I know there were times I ignored the prompts and I was able to figure out to do something in no time.
When my beta ended for Trine 2 I was left wanting more instantly. I was so sad, but it makes me even more excited for the games release on December 7th! I can’t wait to see what else the game has to offer, and bring you a fully detailed review of the game in the following week. I am aiming to have a review up no later than Monday December 12th so I hope you guys look forward to it. Given what I have said, the trailer, and anything else you might know of Trine 2 will you be picking it up for Steam? Or even any other system? Let us know what you think of the game just from what you’ve seen! We’d love to hear your opinions on whether or not you plan on spending the $15 on this game.
