Max Payne 3 Scales up to Monster Computers
Rockstar has never been known for their PC ports in the past. Actually, to this day some people still have problems getting GTA IV to play well on their computers. They also opted out of a port for Red Dead Redemption, and unfortunately I do not have the experience of L.A. Noire on PC, so I am not completely sure how their porting went with that instance. It looks like Rockstar is actually trying to make an effort when it comes to PC ports, though. Today they announced the PC specification requirements for Max Payne 3. If you have a beast computer, then it looks like you will be playing in style.
Max Payne 3 will support a huge range of components and specs. It requires a respectable minimum of an Intel Dual Core 2.4 GHZ, 2 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA 8600 (or Radeon HD 3400), and 35 GB of hard drive space. Yes, 35 Gigabytes. Now, if you have a monstrosity running an i7 6 Core x 3.06 GHZ, 16 GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 680 (or Radeon HD 7970) that supports DirectX11, you can probably fly to the Moon or something with that. Also, Max Payne 3 will look crazy good for you.
Rockstar also announced all the digital pre-orders for Steam, GameStop Impulse, Amazon Game Downloads, Gamesplanet, Gamesload, and Gamersgate. If you want to see the full list of PC specs, just keep on scrolling down.
